WHAT IS THREADING?

Threading is an all natural hair removal method that has been performed in the Middle East for Centuries. It is more precise, less damaging, and can be done on even the most sensitive of skin.

The process uses a 100% cotton thread that is twisted and rolled along the surface of the skin, which traps and pulls the hair out from the follicle. It is an excellent alternative to waxing as the thread does NO DAMAGE to the skin and is a much more precise technique.

Threading can be used anywhere on the body, but is most often used for shaping the eyebrows. The results are always clean, well-defined lines and finely sculpted shapes that waxing alone can not produce.

The results lasts 3 to 4 weeks on average, making touch-ups needed only once or twice a month. Those using medications such as Retin-A, or who have highly sensitive skin, can safely use threading without any worries.

AWA (ahh-wah) adj: Means water in the language of Papiamentu, which is spoken on the island of Curacao. The name was chosen because of the peace, serenity and tranquility of sight and sound it bring to one's senses.
